Figure 1: Safrole was demonstrated to induce generation of proinflammatory cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor-α (a), interleukin-1 β (b), and interleukin-6 (c) in RAW264.7 macrophages. The generation of proinflammatory cytokines was measured by ELISA assay kit after treated with safrole for 12 h at 0, 1, 10, 100, or 300 μM.
